NCMHCE Tutoring and Study Groups

The National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Exam (NCMHCE) is one of the 2 exams South Carolina allows for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Unlike traditional multiple choice questions, the NCMHCE consists of 10 case studies where the clinician makes diagnostic and treatment decisions from admission to discharge. Some have found the NCMHCE easier than the NCE if they have work experience and/or been out of graduate school for a while.

Individual tutoring

Let's learn about the exam, identify specific areas to focus on, develop a study plan and review need-to-know information. NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS.

Group tutoring

Prepare for the NCMHCE with the support of others with the convenience of Zoom. NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS.

NCMHCE Bootcamp

In-person and intense. Learn the basics of the NCMHCE, strategies, and key information. Work on sample test questions with your group. NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS.

Counseling for Test Anxiety

Learn and practice personalized strategies to combat test anxiety. This may include using CBT, DBT concepts, mindfulness, and EMDR. Must physically be in South Carolina.

($120 per hour)

Subscription to counselingexam.com may be required for some of these services. In my humble opinion, it is the most comprehensive study program out there and contains over a hundred case studies that closely resemble the exam.
