***Treating alcohol and drug addiction may involve services and levels of care that I cannot provide in this private practice setting. While I am both licensed and certified as an addiction counselor, clients with an active substance use disorder will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. If I am not able to work with you in this setting, I would be more than happy to provide names and contact information of other providers or programs.
A Bit About Me
In 1992 I started a psychology internship in a community mental health center. While driving home that day I knew I found my calling. I have focused my career on the treatment of addiction, trauma, and mental illness. Throughout my career, I worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential settings as a clinician, manager, and program director. While many of my clients struggled with addiction, I saw it as a symptom of something bigger such as trauma, depression, anxiety, disassociation, and much underlying pain. As a private practitioner, I focus on underlying issues that hold people back from being their best, authentic self.
Personally, I am a wife and mom of an adult daughter and an English Bulldog, Miss Lucy. I enjoy doing pretty much anything artsy and creative such as writing, drawing and playing the piano. A perfect day involves friends, family, Netflix, and learning something new.
